Tsukino Nagisa

Lovely place, with a perfect view opening up at sunrise. The staff were so positive, and a big thank you to the chef.

From the semi-open-air bath in our room, we could watch the waves, sun, and moon, and the view was amazing. I went for a soak many times. It was windy, but even with the large window shut, the view was still there. In our Japanese-style room, my husband and I enjoyed the mandarins we were given while looking out. The room layout was really nice. Dinner’s sashimi was delicious, and the freshly cooked rice at breakfast was so good I could have eaten just that. The head landlady and everyone else were kind and made me feel at ease. They even gave us souvenirs, and we were so well looked after. Thank you. The Atsumi Peninsula doesn’t have many tourist attractions, but Tsuki no Nagisa is definitely worth a visit.

Whenever we go to Irago, my wife and I have said we should come back someday, so we finally did the other day. The landlady welcomed us like my own mother, and we had a good time chatting about all sorts of things each day. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious, and we were very satisfied. There’s no hot spring, so you just use the regular bath in the room, but the sunsets and sunrises from there were amazing. We took our photography gear out onto the balcony at night and got to photograph the stars. It was a shame there were a few clouds. We’d like to come again.

An acquaintance recommended this place, and I’m glad I made the trip by train and boat. The food was delicious, the welcome felt heartfelt, and the room was lovely, with flowers decorating it. I was able to relax, and I’d like to make this an annual visit from now on.
