The Japanese breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly. I loved the hotel’s retro feel, which gives it a special mood. The rooms were clean and spacious. I wish I’d stayed a second night.

The room was unusually spacious for a Japanese hotel, which made the stay much more comfortable. We also had a pretty good view of the mountainside. The decor looks dated, but everything was clean and well maintained. In the dry autumn air, we asked for a humidifier. A staff member brought it straight to our room, filled it up, and refreshed the water the next day while we were out. Those small gestures meant a lot. We couldn’t understand Japanese, but the staff were patient while we used a translator and stayed friendly and helpful throughout. They even tried to book an autumn viewing at Rurikoin Temple for us, though it was fully reserved. Their service was excellent.

I only stopped in for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, and the meal was very nice. The service was especially good, with kind, helpful staff. Recommended!
