The location worked well, though weekends don't seem like much of a bargain. The building still has an obvious love-hotel feel. I wasn't bothered by the railroad crossing, but voices and heavy footsteps from upstairs carried loudly. It probably gets quieter later at night, but even after drinking quite a bit, I couldn't sleep. There was barely any hot water in the bathroom, no full-body towels, and YouTube wouldn't play. It may be easier to leave the car in a nearby paid lot.

We chose this place for its location, close to Kotoden Kataharamachi Station and convenient for getting to Takamatsu Chikko and the station area. The kids even enjoyed watching the Kotoden trains pass, and the nearby tracks didn't keep me awake at all. We were a family of four with two children, so the love-hotel look outside and adult TV channels are worth knowing about in advance. Our Japanese-style room was spacious and clean, with a roomy bathroom separate from the toilet. The Wi-Fi was weak, but the front desk promptly lent us a router and we got online without trouble. I appreciated how quickly they helped. I'd recommend staying here if the love-hotel atmosphere doesn't bother you.

The station is close, and the room itself was spacious. The worn slippers, though, made me feel uneasy because they seemed dirty. I had a hard time finding the kettle, and the little one took a long time to boil water for tea. Check-in doesn't start until 6 PM, and nobody is there before then, so waiting out the time was difficult. Being beside the tracks might feel romantic to some people, but could be stressful for others. Nothing else was particularly bad. The late check-in and slippers were what I disliked most.

The room was plain but bright, with plenty of lights, and having the bathroom separate from the toilet made it easy to enjoy a proper bath. Check-out isn't until noon, and it seems guests can come and go at any hour. There was just one person at the front desk. We were three travelers and couldn't find a hotel with a triple room, so we stayed here in the middle of the bar district. We took a taxi, but the one-way streets made the drive a long detour.

The location was fairly convenient, and the paid parking was useful. Everything else was awful. It's cheap and nasty, and the place feels extremely shady. I brought my young child without knowing it had been a love hotel. They touched the remote and saw something horrible. I never want to stay here again. The rooms are dim, and the hallways are pitch black. I don't believe that level of darkness is part of the concept. There's a coin laundry, but the dryers wouldn't dry our clothes at all, even after running for hours.
