For this price it was clean, tidy, and spacious. The free drinks from 6 to 9pm were a nice bonus, with highballs, plum wine, and tequila shots available.

The friendly staff are at the front desk on the second floor, which you reach by stairs. There are two Hotel AreaOne locations in the same area, so make sure you go to the right one. It’s a budget hotel, and the room had an interesting decor, with lots of flowers on the wallpaper. My chair lost a leg tip as soon as I moved it. The washroom is tiny, as expected at this price, and its plastic floor creaks when you stand on it. There’s no free bottled water, but you can buy one at the desk for 140 yen. The ceiling light uses a remote on the table, since there’s no wall switch or switch by the bed.

Staff were really kind and helpful, and I had a comfortable stay close to downtown. The breakfast served on the room was kind of different. The reception is on the second floor, so carrying language on the stairs is messy. They have a manga library, but there’s no public bath, and the building is old.
10/10
Quiet rooms, a cheap price, and a free bar too. Nothing wrong with this place.
8/10
For the size of the room, it was a good price. Check-in was smooth and unobtrusive.
