Dormy Inn Takasaki Natural Hot Spring

After long days out, it was lovely to come back to such a calm, cozy place. The location was perfect, and the staff were the kindest. We absolutely loved our stay 🤍

The public bath and onsen were clean, and the water was at a comfortable temperature. This is a quiet branch of a popular hotel chain, kept in good condition. It’s an easy walk to the station, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby.

The onsen was nice, and the free ramen, drinks, and ice cream were good as usual. Reception and restaurant staff were kind and helpful. We were a family of four and booked two bedrooms. Each room had two sets of towels, but only one pajama set, one pair of slippers, one bottle of water, and one sweet. That seemed odd. We’d booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled of cigarettes when we walked in. I’m not sure if someone had smoked there before or if the smell came from another bedroom.

The location was superb, and I slept peacefully because it was so quiet. I stayed two nights. The staff spoke basic English and were very helpful, including when I had trouble with my room at check-in. The room felt a bit small, and I could still see dust, though that was okay for a short stay. Breakfast was also okay, but there isn’t much for anyone looking for halal food, so I’d suggest bringing some food along.
