I felt at ease with the friendly owner, and the quiet setting made for a relaxing stay. The rooms and bedding were clean, and I was glad to use the hot springs. There's no Wi-Fi, and NTT Docomo's signal was a little weak, though Rakuten Mobile worked fairly well. With a parking lot available, getting around by car was easy. My first visit to Makino Town, and a comfortable one.

We went as a family with children aged 3-6, and had everything we needed, including towels, amenities, and a hairdryer. The place is wonderful for nature lovers, with a hot spring bath. They also provided cooking utensils, so we could have a casual barbecue. A lovely guesthouse run by a kind couple. 👍✨

This place feels like stepping back to the Showa era. The building brought back childhood memories of trips with my parents, and the service had that nostalgic feel of an old fashioned getaway. We brought our dog, and as long as you follow basic manners, there aren't particular restrictions, so the stay was stress free. The facilities and amenities aren't enough if you're after modern services. The hot springs and toilets are shared, and there isn't much nearby, so you'll need to figure out how to spend the evening. But there's a beautiful river right out front, a dog run on the grounds, and the Metasequoia tree-lined avenue is easy to reach if you head out early. A nice place to unwind with your dog. The Korean dinner was incredibly tasty, and the portions are huge. For a dog friendly place with hot springs, the price is exceptionally cheap.

We brought our dog, and the wife's Korean cooking was delicious, especially the chijimi. It was wild vegetable season, so we got to try a range of unusual wild vegetable dishes. The family bath had medicinal herbs in it, which helped me relax and sleep well. The owners were so kind, and I also saw how devotedly they cared for their elderly grandmother. I heard lots of interesting and informative stories. It was a really valuable trip. Thank you so much ♪

The Korean food was unbelievably good, both dinner and breakfast. I don't think I've had Korean food this delicious anywhere else, and I'll remember those meals for a long time. The building is old but cared for, with cute paintwork, and the service was easy and comfortable. The bath is a hot spring. It got cold at night, but somehow I wasn't chilly after bathing, and my skin even seemed smoother. There were chickens wandering around the grounds. I appreciated being able to bring my dog since it's pet-friendly. I'd love to go back, and recommend it.
