Really nice room and great service. The in-room hot spring felt private, and the snack area in the lobby is worth a stop for sunset photos. Looking forward to coming back, highly recommend.

I mainly booked this place for crab and an onsen, without expecting much else, but the room’s private open-air onsen was a lovely surprise. It was spacious, with a peaceful waterfront view that made soaking really relaxing. I also enjoyed the sauna in the signature sauna room. The meal was delicious, and the staff thoughtfully took photos of us before we ate. Afterward I noticed some unusual artwork and displays in the lobby, which were interesting to look around.

The meals were a real highlight, especially the crab dishes. The kaiseki was carefully prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients, and everything was delicious. I also enjoyed soaking in the onsen while looking out at the peaceful scenery. It was clean, and the amenities felt thoughtfully chosen. Our room was spacious and spotless, with tatami mats and sliding doors. The view of nature from the window was beautiful, and the traditional Japanese feel worked well with the modern comforts. The staff were attentive and friendly from the moment we arrived, always ready to help. Kanigoten made for a memorable, relaxing stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of getaway.
