The staff made a great impression right from the start. The receptionists were helpful with receipts, showed guests to the baths, and gave a warm goodbye. I’m already planning to come back for an overnight stay instead of just stopping by. The open-air bath was a highlight. A clever spot among the rocks gave me an unobstructed view of the sea and sky. The autumn sea breeze took the everyday tiredness right out of me, and for a moment I felt like I was drifting off with the seabirds. Even the amenities felt special. The shampoo was gentle on my hair, and the salt body scrub left my skin feeling like a pearl from the Ariake Sea. There was a thoughtful range of lotions and emulsions in the changing room too. I also loved the tatami bathroom floor, and then came across a rather funny surprise: beside the sign explaining the hot spring benefits were profiles for a crab and sea lice. I couldn’t help laughing at how seriously they were presented, like an ingredient list. The water, the salt scrub, the odd little sea lice introduction, all of it made the stay entertaining.

I only stayed one night, without meals, but the lovely room and amazing view helped me unwind after a long trip. There are plenty of places to see nearby, so I’d like to come back.

We were four people in two rooms for one night, and checking in right at 4 meant we had plenty of time to relax. We could watch fish from the room, maybe mullet, swimming in groups in the morning, and jumping out of the water in the evening. You could see them from the outdoor bath too. Dinner had so many dishes that we took half the boiled crab home. At checkout the next day, they packed it with ice for us. There was boiled and fried crab, crab porridge, sashimi, chawanmushi, pork shabu-shabu, golden eye snapper, kuruma prawns, and salmon and vegetable fresh rolls. Everything looked colorful and tasted great. Having dinner in a private room right in front of our own room was really convenient. The staff were so warm and welcoming. We’ll come back in winter for crab and oysters. Thank you!

The one bright spot was the young woman who escorted me to my room. She was kind, warm, and clearly wanted to help, which left a very different impression from the other staff. The stay itself was awful. The room I got was nothing like the one I booked online, and I felt cheated. I was also billed for two people despite traveling alone. When I asked at the front desk, all I got was, “It can’t be helped.” I felt completely scammed, and the answer was unpleasant. The room was old and worn, and the hotel felt messy throughout. I didn’t eat there, and I skipped the hot springs because other reviews said they might not be clean.
