Ryokan Yatomisou

The food was delicious, and we had a really nice stay. The staff were all kind, especially the Vietnamese woman who served our meal, who was particularly pleasant. The building has an old, established feel, but the dining room and guest rooms have been renovated and look stylish and clean. I came for Takezaki crab and was glad I chose this as my first stay here. The private bath was spacious and free to use, and I was happy with the large public bath too. Face towels in the changing room and a water dispenser on every floor were handy touches. The kids’ room was spacious as well. Thanks for taking care of us.

We were so glad we chose this place again. It was our third visit, after quite a while, for a family trip celebrating our wedding anniversary on November 23rd. From our room, the sunrise over the Ariake Sea was beautiful and moving, and the location overlooking the water is amazing. The room is old, but it was clean. The bath with mandarin oranges and a view was lovely too. We used to eat in our room, so we wondered whether the first-floor dining area would feel private enough. The restaurant was separated by a curtain, though, and we didn’t have to worry about other guests. The crab, Saga beef, and everything else were delicious, and the portions were generous. I couldn’t even finish the rice porridge, sorry! Before we left, a staff member kindly took a family photo of us doing the crab pose. Thank you! (*ˊᵕˋ*)

The staff were smiling and friendly, and made me feel at home. I had a great time with both dinner and breakfast, which were delicious and filling. The morning sunrise over the Ariake Sea was amazing to wake up to. I came specifically for Takezaki crab and, as expected, it was delicious, with a rich flavor and firm meat. The Saga beef was incredibly tasty too. When I first got to my room, I was surprised by how spacious and nicely decorated it was. The bed was so comfortable I jumped right in, and the extra futon mattress was great. I also enjoyed relaxing in the swaying hammock. I stretched out in the large bath in the evening and again in the morning. Thanks so much.

I was nervous about using the bath because the changing area and bathroom could be seen from outside. The room was clean, and the crab dinner was delicious and lavish.
