Nature Base Hotel NUPPUKOTTE

The hotel is very new, and the people working there are super nice. They gave us extraordinary help with everything, from changing our car reservation to trying to book a round of golf and even drawing us a map for the day. Thanks again for all your hospitality and great service!

The lounge was a nice place to relax after dinner, with plenty of drinks, including Hokkaido alcohol and non-alcoholic choices. Dinner itself was a course meal using carefully chosen local ingredients, and I was extremely satisfied. The roasted Mashu venison and deep-fried lily root were especially delicious. I added the wine pairing, and the explanations with each wine made the meal even better. Our room was simple, elegant, and refined, with a handwritten welcome note that felt like a thoughtful touch. We stayed one night for my wife's birthday, and I’m truly glad we chose this inn for such a special occasion. Thank you to all the staff who helped us.

Finding food nearby was difficult since the hotel is surrounded by nature with nothing close by. The starry sky at night was amazing, though, and I’m looking forward to coming back when the hotel restaurant opens. We stayed at this newly opened hotel and had a comfortable visit. The staff were friendly, and the lounge had alcoholic and soft drinks we could sample freely. The room was spacious and stylish, with three large beds that suited our family of three perfectly. The dim lighting made a nice atmosphere, but another floor lamp near the sofa would have helped.

Breakfast came to our room in a three-tier ceramic box, with rice, miso soup, and so many side dishes that it filled us up at the start of the day. The meal felt full of care and introduced us to local food. The previous evening, we enjoyed a Western-style dinner made with local ingredients, including Teshikaga cheese, burdock, lily bulb moonlight, Mashu deer, and Mashu mango. Everything was delicious, and the wine pairings were plentiful. They also handled my daughter’s food preferences, which I’d mentioned ahead of time. We had a wonderful time in Mashu during the quiet early winter. Our guest room was clean and peaceful, and had no TV. The lounge offered a wide range of free local alcoholic drinks.
