The fresh seafood and homemade rice were both delicious, and the cheerful hostess made us feel welcome. We were six colleagues, split across two rooms for three, which worked out really well. The rooms are a little dated, but I find that gives them a calming feel. The toilets, by contrast, were new and spotless. Ishigami Shrine is only a five-minute walk away, and from my experience the parking is among the easiest in Osatsu, even for a van. I’ve visited Osatsu several times and have never found an inn there disappointing. This was my first stay at Hyojya, and I’d like to try more of these inns in the future.
