I liked having a quiet lounge and deck where I could sit with coffee, use the WiFi, and take in the view and sunrise. There’s also a big indoor play space with lots of children’s books. My room was spacious, Japanese-style, and very clean, with tatami, a low table, and chairs. I could hear the waves gently from the room and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Kameya was a lovely base while I explored Toba and the surrounding area.

The view was amazing, and the room was clean with its own onsen. The staff were so kind, too. They even helped me track down my lost watch in the room, which let me relax and enjoy touring around Toba. One of the best onsen hotels we’ve stayed at in Japan.

We only stayed one night, though I’m sure we’d have enjoyed a longer visit. The beach is just a few steps away, and the food service was excellent. The rooms had a traditional Japanese feel, with tatami and floor beds. Thanks to the hotel staff for being so kind.

We even caught the sunrise from our room, which made me so happy. The seafood dinner was incredibly generous, and the service was so attentive. Since we had an early ferry, they prepared a lovely breakfast for us ahead of time. They seemed even more worried than we were that we might miss it. So thoughtful of them to take such good care of us. I hope we can stay longer next time. ❤️
