Minshuku Kan-ei

I wanted my son and his wife to get to experience this place, so I brought them along on my second visit, after coming last October. This time we got to reserve the private open-air bath and had a great stay. I’d regretted not choosing the Matsusaka beef course before, so I went for a course with both fish and meat. There are nearby hotels getting attention for all-inclusive plans, but I’m sure you’ll be more satisfied here. I highly recommend a visit!

The directions on Google Maps take you in from the narrower side. Once you get close, follow the signs on the telephone poles instead. The landlady was so thoughtful, and the food and bath were all top-notch. The comments make it easy to understand why so many people come back.

Both meals were great, especially the simmered dishes. I’d like to come back to this inn.

I’d come for the food, and both the taste and portions went beyond what I expected. The seafood was delicious, and the Mie Prefecture rice, which I don’t often see in Kanto, was exceptionally good too. The rooms, bathrooms, and the rest of the inn were very clean. Since I visited on a weekday after summer vacation, it was quiet and I wasn’t bothered by other guests. The landlady was very attentive and pleasant. The roads are narrow around the inn. I drive a car that’s 1865mm wide and got to the front without trouble by approaching from the side opposite the ocean. The ocean-side route gets quite tight in places, so that way could be difficult. One small thing I’d have liked was a vending machine or water dispenser near the large bath’s entrance or changing room. After bathing, having to go back to my room for a drink was a bit of a hassle.
