The room is pretty large by Japan standards, and the hotel is very close to Tokushima station, which is convenient. The front door is locked from 2am to 5am, but you can make a special request at the front desk.

The front desk was available late at night, which helped a lot. The place has the attentive service and hospitality I associate with the Showa era. My single room had a large sofa, a warm wooden desk, and luxurious lamps, a very different feel from today's cramped, boring hotels. I was especially impressed by the wooden door. 😍 Breakfast at the first-floor restaurant was delicious, and so was the cake. Dinner is also very reasonably priced, so I'll try it next time. I'd like to stay here again!
