The location was great and breakfast was decent. The cleaning staff were kind and polite. My experience with the Japanese front desk staff was very different. I told them on my first day that the shower was broken. They smiled and said it would be fixed “soon,” but nobody came and I never got an update. Meanwhile, my Japanese colleague’s room was changed right away over a much smaller issue. It left me feeling that some guests get special VIP treatment. If you’re fine with a good location and decent breakfast, and with seeing guests treated differently depending on who they are, this place might suit you.

Prices are reasonable and the service was good. It’s an older hotel with standard rooms. If you use the car park around the corner, note that it’s closed from midnight until 8:00 am.

The bedroom and bathroom were good, and I had a nice mountain view. Breakfast was basic, just soup, bread, and juice. Thanks!
