The neighborhood is quiet and has a restful feel, with a forested shrine nearby, though the hostel is farther from the train station. I slept comfortably in the spacious dorm capsule, and the larger tatami room is enjoyable too. The lounge, kitchen, showers, and washing machine were all amazingly clean. I've stayed here several times while walking the Shikoku henro. Staff welcome me by name and go out of their way to help, including making other bookings by phone. I'll certainly come back someday.

The staff are friendly and happy to suggest places to eat and see, especially during Awa Odori. From Tokushima Station, it's about a 25 minute walk or 10 minutes by bus to the hostel and main event areas. After a day out, I always felt comfortable coming back to relax and recharge before heading out again for the night. A great place to stay in Tokushima. I highly recommend COLIBERTY HOSTEL anytime!

The shared kitchen and living room were lovely places to cook or just unwind. We spent three nights in a spacious, really nice Japanese-style room. It has a homely feel.

Taimu is worth a stop for Taiyaki while you're out beyond the touristy area. Back at the guesthouse, the kitchen and common area are set up nicely for chatting, and there's loads of information about what to do in Tokushima. The rooms are clean, the staff are super friendly, and the place sits on a quiet side street, so nights aren't noisy. An amazing little place to stay.
