After an 18km hike and a two hour ferry ride, I just wanted a cheap, straightforward place near the port to sleep. This was exactly that. The single room cost 4500 yen and was basic, but did the job. There isn't a convenience store close by, though there's a Mos Burger not far away. The owner seems to come and go, so call ahead to check he'll be there to let you in.

The free bike rental was a real bonus. The place was clean and reasonably priced, and I had no complaints. The owner doesn't speak English, but that caused no problems.

After a full day cycling and then a two hour ferry ride, I needed a simple place to rest. The traditional Japanese room was nice to sleep in, and the hotel was just what I was looking for. I'd recommend it.

The guesthouse staff were kind, and having an Aeon Mall nearby made the location convenient. The building is old and, for the price, it's noisy. Doors, footsteps, voices and TV sounds carry through the place, so who you end up staying with seems to make a difference. During my stay, someone had the TV at full volume past 2 a.m. I could barely fall asleep and was completely sleep-deprived the next day.
