It was really well located, and I had a good time here. I was mostly out, coming back just to sleep at night and take a bath. The owner was very friendly. He can’t speak english, but Google Translate got us by. Please be patient with him though :’) I know not learning the language can be frustrating, but he was really kind 🥹🙏 He let us use his laundry machine and gave instructions, though they were still in Japanese, so please make do with them 😭 He explained things slowly and often asked whether our aircon was too cold 😭 There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage upstairs. I’d recommend this affordable, comfortable place near the city center. I’ll recommend it and come back next time.

We liked the quiet neighborhood, and the place was clean and affordable. It caters to men as well, while the women’s area was just one floor. The bunk bed squeaked terribly and made it hard to sleep, so I’d bring earplugs. We had a little fridge and a kettle, and there was plenty of good cheap food around. I’d stay again, as long as I didn’t expect the Ritz. It felt more like staying in an aunt’s spare room, but it did the trick. We only saw staff when checking in. The place is down a tiny alley. Turn at the cute french pastry shop, then look for the door on the right with two signs. I think it’s orange, but you’ll spot the mint green paint in the adds right away.

The shower had good water pressure and temperature control, and the location was convenient, with two metro stations within walking distance serving three lines in total. I stayed in the private single room, but for some reason they put a bunk bed in it. I couldn’t sit upright in bed without hitting my head. I hope the hostel considers replacing it with a single bed.

We stayed four nights in a three-bunk room with friends. Uncle, who runs the place, was thoughtful and accommodating, and even offered to drive us to our next accommodation in Ginza. Toiletries, combs, and towels were provided every day. There are lots of delicious places to eat and convenience stores nearby. Highly recommended!

We had a nice room upstairs and really enjoyed staying here. Just remember to let them know what time you expect to arrive. If reception is unattended when you get there, ring the bell.
