The house was super clean and well equipped, and the host was quick to answer questions with useful knowledge about restaurants, places to visit, and things to do. Hatsudai station is about a 6 minute walk, depending on your stride. There are places to eat along the way, including McDonalds, 7-Eleven, and Family Mart, and Tokyo Opera City is nearby with more restaurant options. Our large family had plenty of room: beds for 8, with space for 2 more to sleep in the living room. The futon and blanket worked perfectly for our group. We also liked the spacious kitchen and big dining table. Having two showers and two toilets was a huge plus.

The owners replied quickly by email whenever we had questions, and they even provided a book about things to do around the area. It was a very pleasant stay, and we'd definitely come back. The place has good self-catering amenities and was very clean, with plenty of air conditioning. The three levels and narrow stairs, typical of a Japanese unit, could be hard for anyone with limited mobility. Two bedrooms are on the top floor, so you'll need to carry your suitcase up. The nearest station is a 5-10 minute walk away.

My husband and I are licensed real estate brokers, and location is our mantra. This place gets five stars on that front: it's one station from Shinjuku, with a very short walk from the station exit. It was newly renovated, cozy, spacious, comfortable, and convenient, with everything we needed for our 9 days in Tokyo. Up to 8 people could fit comfortably. All the necessary amenities, appliances, and materials were provided, so we didn't need to call for anything. Communication in English was excellent. One of our better stays in Tokyo, and we'll definitely be back.
