The staff were great. I made a mess of using the locker under my bed, but got a quick, helpful reply by text and email. The place is very clean, has a nice minimalist look, and sits just a minute from the metro. Just remember it's a capsule hotel, so there's no privacy, and snoring can be a whole event. Bring earplugs. I wish they gave those out for free instead of the hand warmers at check-in. The washrooms are mixed, though the toilets and showers are in private stalls.

I was very disappointed by the service after checkout. I left a personal item behind and was returning to Tokyo a couple of days later, so I hoped the hostel might hold it. But I couldn't find a way to reach anyone. There was no email on the website, messages to a Gmail address I found got no answer, and Instagram wouldn't let me send a direct message unless I followed the account first. The location is convenient, right by a JR station, and shared areas were mostly clean. Check-in and checkout were quick. The room was clean too, and has a women-only option, but the bathroom is shared with everyone. Other guests were considerate, so it stayed quiet. There's barely any storage beyond the space under the bed, and when someone is packing, the small room leaves almost no room to get by.

The shared areas were cleaned thoroughly every day, and the hostel provides thoughtful hygiene supplies for guests. I was lucky to be around polite people too. It was a lovely two-night stay at Enso. Though it's in the middle of a crowded area, the hostel is well insulated and feels removed from the bustle. The metro station (M) is only a two-minute walk away.

I liked how fresh the shared rooms stayed, thanks to the daily towel service and all the air purifiers. Even in the heart of Akasaka, the place was quiet, and the metro was just seconds away. The capsules and bathrooms were clean too. My one problem was the beds: very hard, with lumpy pillows. I didn't notice as much while jet lagged, but after three nights my neck and back were pretty sore.

The neighborhood felt safe, clean, and lovely, with restaurants, bars, supermarkets, and shops right nearby. The metro is next door, so getting around was easy. Everything was great, from the super clean place to the helpful, welcoming staff. It was quiet and comfortable, and I'd definitely stay again.
