Akasaka Urban Hotel Annex

Every time I come and go, they greet me so kindly. Their service is really understanding too. I have claustrophobia, so after I got a room with a small window, I asked about a larger one. They moved me straight away to a bigger room on a higher floor with a corner window, and didn't judge me at all. A translator can help make a request clear. Highly recommend!

I stayed here three years ago, and wouldn't recommend it. The service was bad, and there were no translations for foreign guests. Staff didn't know English, so I used a translator to communicate in Japanese. Unwanted people were allowed to knock and look for my room. The lights didn't work properly, and only the lamp worked in my room on an upper floor. There was no phone to call customer service, the rooms were very uncomfortable, and they don't bring food. The robe and ducky toy were fine. The bathrooms are hi-tech, the kind I've only seen in Japan, but there were still problems with the lights and electricity.

We'd definitely stay again. Our room was bigger than the ones we'd had at a few budget hotels and APAs, and the fridge was already switched on. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's cafe-style seating at the main entrance, a nice spot for a meal or a drink from one of the many convenience stores nearby. The hotel is right on the Ginza line, about 10 minutes from Shibuya station and a 10-minute walk from the Harry Potter Cafe.

The room was clean, just the right size for me, and had everything I needed, including a new friend 🐥. Miss Koike and Mr.Masuda were especially helpful and friendly, always willing to go the extra mile. If I come back to this area, I'll stay here again.
