I had to chase the booking service myself to get my money back, which was awful. A week before my stay, I asked how check-in worked and got no reply. Then, just before the date, they suddenly told me I couldn't check into the house because of an ongoing water leak. If they'd known earlier, they should have let me know. I quickly found a better, cheaper guesthouse in a good location, with a friendly owner who responded promptly. Hotel STAY ARI Higashishinjuku is one option to look at.

We had a relaxing stay because the house felt comfortable and homey. It was quiet, and having a bath that was always available and clean was great. We could wear pajamas, and doing laundry meant we didn't need to pack as much, which was especially useful in the rain. The location was fantastic: close to Koenji Station, with taxis passing by, a convenience store and a 24-hour supermarket nearby. There was also a wine cooler that held plenty of drinks. The layout had two rooms, a toilet, and the entrance on the first floor; the living room, bathroom, and another toilet on the second; and two more rooms on the third. It looked like there was a rooftop, but it was raining, so we didn't go check it out (lol). The rooms were nice. The freezer felt small for a house this size, but we managed. Plates and cups were hard to find, so labels would help. I ended up opening everything. I tried using the vacuum, but it didn't pick anything up (lol). We spent most of our family time in the living room, where the table and chairs felt mismatched, either the table was too high or the chairs too low. There weren't enough chopsticks, spoons, forks, or toothbrushes. The slippers weren't great, and the stairs were hard to go up and down.

Please keep the prices affordable, improve the quality, and offer tourists well-balanced customer service.
