After I was racially profiled at check-in, I complained. It became clear to me that this wasn’t a mistake, and the hotel showed no regret about it. I’ll avoid all keikyu ex inns from now on. The hotel is handy for Haneda, but the rooms are very basic. In reply to the hotel: Japanese-looking guests are trusted to fill in their address correctly, while foreign-looking guests get checked again because they’re treated as suspicious. Treating people differently based on how they look is racial profiling. This is the first time it’s happened to me in many years in Japan. Only stay here if you’re okay with them viewing you as suspicious because you look foreign.

I picked this hotel partly because breakfast is flexible: there are five restaurants to choose from, and you can go get it as late as 11 am. The room was an acceptable size by Tokyo standards, and the price was affordable. Staff were friendly, and it was quiet. I was given a room on the highest floor, with a stunning view of Haneda Airport, daiba, Tokyo tower, and sky tree all at once. It was perfect for a short stay in Tokyo.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, so it’s easy to find something to eat or have a beer. The hotel is near Keikyu Kamata station, though you need to walk a couple of minutes to reach it. Be careful not to end up at the other hotel on the way. The facility was clean and in good condition, and the staff were kind and provided good service. The room may feel a bit tiny if you’re a bigger person. It’s easy to get to from Haneda, so enjoy your stay!

There are plenty of restaurants and bars around, which is handy. Kamata station is about a 10-minute walk away, but it can feel far if you’re carrying a lot of luggage.

The staff were great, and there are lots of things within walking distance. The place was clean and comfortable. I only wish the TV stations were better, though I don’t think that’s the hotel’s fault. I’d stay again.
