For an easy meal, there are no dining facilities in the hotel, but you get a 900 yen voucher for Doutor Coffee or Lawson. I went to Doutor for a relaxed breakfast with their special guest menu. On weekends it opens at 11 a.m., while on weekdays it opens at 7 a.m. Nearby, "Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen Bankara" is worth a visit for its rich pork bone soup, and the garlic crusher gives it an extra kick. Yodobashi Camera Multimedia Akiba is also close by. The hotel itself is tucked into a surprisingly quiet spot, even though Akihabara Station and its lively surroundings are only a five-minute, 450-meter walk away. The rooms are clean, simple, and modern, with separate waffle-fabric loungewear and a well-equipped unit bath with a washlet. The lobby amenity corner has DHC skincare sets and a welcome coffee machine. Search SUKIYAKI TRAVEL JAPAN on YouTube for a 4K room tour and a look at the garlic ramen before booking.

It was peaceful at night, even though the hotel is in a busy area. We booked it for our first two nights in Tokyo largely because of the reviews, and we were very glad we did. All the positive things people said turned out to be true. We were pleased with everything.

I accidentally booked a smoking room, but the staff found me another one for a small extra charge. They were really helpful, and there’s a complimentary coffee machine at reception. Of the few hotels I stayed in, this was easily my favorite. The rooms are small, as you’d expect in Tokyo, but very clean, with daily housekeeping and comfortable beds. Great location too. I’d absolutely recommend it. Thanks!

The staff were good, and the hotel is near the train station. Our room, towels, and bed sheets were all very clean. There was an odor problem in the first bathroom, but they moved us the next day, and everything was fine after that.

After years away, I found Akihabara a bit overwhelming with all the tourists and activity. It was nice to duck back into the room and spend the night watching games. The room is compact but thoughtfully laid out, and having a TV that works with YouTube and Netflix is a great feature.
