The room had plenty of floor space, so I could lay out two large suitcases, a real luxury in Tokyo. It was bright with natural light throughout the day, despite concerns I’d heard about dim lighting. The minimalist Japanese design was thoughtful, with lots of clever, functional details. I especially enjoyed the unusual private balcony, spacious and full of healthy plants, like a quiet green retreat in central Tokyo. I chatted with the gardening staff while they were tending them. Front desk service was friendly and professional, and communication in English was seamless. I really enjoyed the stay, especially the outdoor space and practical room design.

The area was wonderfully quiet, and there are stations, kobinis, a laundromat, and lots of local restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Staff spoke English really well and helped me when bad typhoon weather delayed my flight. There aren’t food options at the hotel, though there’s a local bakery a few buildings away, and Tokyo Station is nearby for major travel destinations. They’ll hold your luggage, too. My room had a mini fridge, but it was smaller than Western standards and could only fit a few small items. The room itself was small by Western standards, which I expected in Japan. I stayed for a week and loved it.
The room matched the official photos, clean and minimalist, with a simple but thoughtful design. The soundproofing was excellent, and I slept incredibly well even in the city. The spacious walk-in shower was a highlight, with powerful pressure and blissfully hot water during Tokyo’s recent cold snap. There’s no bathtub, though. We asked about the emergency exit door inside the bathroom and learned it’s required by local fire safety codes, which call for two escape routes within a short distance. Knowing it was there for safety, and is a common regulation in Tokyo, made us feel more secure. It was a comfortable, restful, straightforward stay. A solid choice if accurate photos, quiet rooms, a great shower, and clear safety measures matter to you.
We wouldn’t stay again because of the room size and my husband’s height, though for most people it’s probably OK for the price. He’s 6'7, and the room’s odd shape made it hard for him to manage. There wasn’t enough room beside the bed to get in and out easily, and the booking.com photos made the room look much bigger than it was. The shower door opens inward, so you need to get inside before turning on the water, which is awkward when it takes a moment to heat up. The hotel is in a quiet part of Tokyo, somewhat close to train stations, and the staff speak fluent English. We lost our keycards on the train and had to pay for replacements. That’s their policy, so fair enough, but charging for that feels odd these days. The laundry right next door was very easy to use.
Subway access was easy, and it’s a convenient base for getting around. The room size was good by Tokyo standards. There aren’t many amenities or a restaurant in the hotel or reception, but my stay was comfortable and totally fine.
