Akihabara Nakagawa Inn

It was a good price for the location, and the room was clean and really big. I liked the tatami and futons for a Japanese-style stay. The bathroom doorway is low, as someone else mentioned, and I bumped my head a few times. There’s no window, which was the worst part. Also, the microwave in the corridor is noisy, and the staff weren’t very welcoming.

The traditional rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were welcoming and spoke English very well. The service was good, and the hotel is well located near stations and convenience stores.

A good choice for one or two nights. It’s clean, including the bathroom, and there’s air conditioning so you can set the room temperature. The room isn’t spacious, though if you’re lucky, there’s space for three or four large suitcases. No kitchen or dishwasher. The lift only fits four or five people, but you can take the stairs. The best part is being near the station, so it’s easy to get around from there.

We stayed four days in Tokyo, and the location was superb, just a few minutes from Okachimachi station, convenience stores, and some attractions. The staff were hospitable and checked that we were happy with the stay. Our room was an old ryokan-style one, a bit cramped for five but clean. The sink wasn’t working properly when we arrived, but staff fixed it right away after we told them. Decent rooms for the price and a convenient base for travelers in Akihabara.
