The bathroom was the biggest issue for me. The shower and bath aren’t designed well, and the floor gets messy every time you shower. The staff don’t speak English very well, but they’re lovely and will help with questions or restaurant recommendations nearby. There’s just one 30m² room on each floor. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with a minimalist Japanese and Western style, plus amenities like a washing machine, fridge, microwave, TV and tableware, as well as big hidden closets. I’d still recommend it for a different kind of stay, even though the user experience isn’t great.

Very ryokan-like, with neat rooms. Some are entirely futon, while others combine a mattress on a low platform with futons. There’s only one room on each floor. If you’re coming with more than two or three people, the elevators and the area between the front door and room are small, so getting everyone inside may take more than one elevator trip.

There are plenty of good shops and restaurants within an easy walk, so I don’t understand the earlier reviews saying otherwise. The train station is a two-minute walk away and gives easy access to Tokyo. The hotel was fantastic, very clean, and had great staff. I’d highly recommend it.

The room had thoughtful storage, a washing machine, coffee cups, a sofa, and a TV with Netflix. It was spacious for Tokyo, close to train stations and convenience stores, and the staff were attentive. But the bathroom made our three-night stay frustrating. Water escaped from the floating bathtub because there was no silicone along its edge, and the water-sensitive materials were already swelling. We tried to be careful, but the floor still got soaked. For a property that opened in March 2023, parts of the interior already seemed to be wearing out, and I worry it will age quickly. The bed and pillows also weren’t as comfortable as I’d expect for the price. Entry to the building and the lift had no key-card security, though each room had a digital lock. It’s a very boutique, independent hotel. If the bathroom works for you, it might be a fit, but ours could have been much better.
