I stayed for ten days and never saw a staff member. The room was dirty and in a state I wouldn’t want anyone else to experience. Wi-Fi barely worked, dropping constantly, and the best signal I could find was in the bathroom, which was only about four feet long and three feet wide. Calling this a hotel is a stretch. At best it’s a studio, and the photos make it look bigger than it is. I was on the top floor and had to climb narrow stairs to get to the fourth floor. I’m currently trying to get my money back through Airbnb.

We were given a room that didn’t match the photos, with furniture that was really old and dirty. The bathroom drain was blocked with other people’s hair, and one of the three of us had to sleep on a sofa with a spring sticking out. The Wi-Fi was very weak too. For that price, it felt like a rip-off.

I was moved here after a booking mix-up at another one of their properties, and I’d been a little concerned by the other reviews. In my opinion, much of what they said didn’t match my stay. The room was clean, a reasonable size, and warm even in early March after it had snowed. The bed was firm without being hard, and the shower was good. Wi-Fi worked, and the place was easy to find, a very short walk from Asakusa Station. The area was quiet. I did notice quite a bit of hair around, but that was the only issue I found.

This is more of an apartment than a hotel, despite the name. There’s no front desk or staff to greet you or help out. Our stay was just okay. It cost less than the other places we considered because we thought it was a hotel, and I wouldn’t book it again. It’s a short walk from Asakusa Station, and the rooms are spacious compared with hotel rooms. Ours had a washing machine, stove, microwave, toaster, and kettle. But there’s no elevator, so getting luggage up and down the stairs is hard. There’s no daily cleaning, meaning you have to tidy the room and change the trash yourself, and we weren’t given trash bags. Linens aren’t changed, which mattered to me during our stay of more than three days. There’s space for only one suitcase, and the main-door passcode was plainly posted in the lobby. We also couldn’t find a nearby convenience store or restaurant.
