As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t feel unsafe coming back at night. The hotel is close to main streets, and although there are some girls bars nearby, that wasn’t a concern for me. It sits on the quieter side of Ikebukuro station, about a five-minute walk from the busy area. I booked at the last minute because the price was relatively affordable for Tokyo, so I wasn’t expecting much. The facilities were in great condition and looked fresh, possibly recently renovated, and the place was impeccably clean. Check-in went smoothly. The room was small, as is typical, but well designed and had the amenities I like in Japanese hotels. I enjoyed a bath before dinner, and the comfy yukata was a lovely little touch while I put on makeup. The TV had useful information for tourists, including a video on how to wear a yukata properly. Great value, clean, and well located. Book it!

It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, so it’s not too bad. Service and facilities are pretty ordinary.

There’s lots of entertainment and plenty of restaurants nearby. Just watch out late at night, when a lot of onnesans may try to get you into their clubs or bars. The hotel is pretty close to the train station, and the rooms are small, but you can stash luggage under the bed. It’s an average, decent budget hotel, and worth the price for the value.

You can walk to the subway, eateries, convenience stores, and a shopping mall from here, so there’s no need to include breakfast. The room is compact and quiet, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out, with all the amenities.
