Apa Hotel Kanda Jimbocho Ekihigashi

I stayed for a week and liked the hotel’s appearance and convenient position for walking to stations and nearby attractions. The rooms are about the size you’d expect at a Japanese business hotel, so there’s not much space beyond the bed. That’s fine if you’re mainly using it to sleep. If you’re into music, don’t miss the instrument shops just north west of the hotel. Breakfast was nice, though a little pricey compared with local options, and uses an old-fashioned ticket system, so be aware of that.

My flight to Japan was my first trip abroad, and I’d never been to another country before. I feel at home here. The workers are always smiling, whether it’s early in the morning or at night, and the location is nice, with every station just a few minutes away. I’m staying until the 2nd of December, but I’ll definitely come back soon to this awesome hotel. Thank you, Apa Kanda Jimbocho 🙏🙏🙏

Getting around was easy from here: the hotel is just one train stop from central Tokyo, with three subway lines (red, blue, and purple) within walking distance. There are bookstores and inexpensive places to eat nearby, too, and the staff were polite and ready to help. My room, though, was very small, with nowhere for a large suitcase, so you may need to leave one at reception. The bathroom barely fit me at 6 feet tall. Breakfast was a small, healthy selection served in a small area, not a big buffet. I went at 7:00 a.m. to avoid having to find a seat.

We were here for our honeymoon, and the central location made getting around very convenient. The staff were consistently polite and helpful, including trainees who were clearly doing their best. I also saw a few guests complain about problems they had caused themselves, which seemed more like drama than a genuine grievance. Maybe visitors should look up local customs before traveling. The rooms are small, but that seemed reasonable for the hotel's star rating and central Tokyo location. What surprised me was how dusty our room still was after housekeeping had visited twice. I have a dust allergy, but fortunately it didn't affect me. Still, the dust was noticeable despite how well managed everything else seemed.
