Apa Hotel Tokyo Kiba

The room was small but decent for one person. Still, the hotel looks run down and the room wasn't very clean. Even though it was a non-smoking room, it smelled of cigarettes, especially the towels left each day. It doesn't seem to have been updated in decades. I'd stay here only as a last resort, since there are better hotels for the same price.

We checked out the very next day. The rooms were awful and so cramped it was hard to move around with our luggage. The walls were dirty and old, the doors scratched, and the area looked bad, so we felt unsafe. There were no key cards, and you had to remember to lock the doors. The laundry had just one washing machine and one dryer. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in.

The sagging mattress gave us back pain, and the room wallpaper was dirty. The lobby entrance smelled like a chicken cave. On the first morning, we saw a drunk person lying in front of the elevator without pants. Staff just put a blanket over his backside instead of moving him or doing anything about it. Ridiculous. The hotel was old, never renovated, and dirty. I've stayed in hotels while traveling through 33 countries, and this is one of the worst. Thank goodness my wife and I only stayed three nights; otherwise, we'd have booked somewhere else right away. Spend 10€ more per night for somewhere 10 times better. Trust the reviews and pictures, saving money here isn't worth it.

The check-in was convenient and quick, and the staff were professional enough. The bedroom and bathroom were clean enough, though spots out of sight could use more attention. It delivers the three-star stay it promises. This should suit business travellers or tourists who just need somewhere to sleep. I'd recommend it.
