Asakusa Koma House

The included breakfast was probably the best I've had in Tokyo so far. The staff were super friendly, the common area was cozy, and the rooftop had a great view. What really caught my eye, though, was the unexpected “MICRO-BOTANICAL-GARDEN,” a wonderfully eclectic bunch of plants. Kudos to whoever looks after it, though I can't remember their name. I did get bitten by a rogue bedbug and pulled the bed apart until I found one young bug. They may have dealt with the problem since then, but travelers can carry them around, so it can happen. It was an unlucky situation, and the staff were great about making it right, so I still highly recommend the place. For couples, I'd suggest the private room with a SkyTree view. The rooftop has a wider, less obstructed view, but it was pretty cool to watch the tower sparkle outside the window all night.

We stayed at this Guest House a couple of years ago, and the staff treated us so kindly. We'll remember you and visit again when we return. Best wishes from Mexico.

Thanks, IZA Asakusa! The staff were friendly, and the rooftop garden had lovely Skytree views. The tower and Asakusa's shopping streets are both an easy walk away, as is the Asakusa metro station. A great spot for a cheap stay.
