Hotel Times ONE

The price is high, and I don’t think the rooms or service justify it. It’s relatively clean for a love hotel in Ikebukuro, but the plumbing seems old and the shower and toilet both have problems. When I tried using the toilet, there was a loud splatter and sewage burst out, soaking my clothes completely. The drain pressure seems unstable. My clothes and the toilet were covered in sewage. I’ll never go back.

I’ve mostly been using the G and F types for a long time. It used to be a five-star hotel, but I’ve noticed some changes over the past few months, so I wanted to write this. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. I thought there used to be a TV in the bathroom, and the website still says there is, but now there’s something mirror-like stuck over it. I can’t see the TV, and there’s no switch or remote. The jacuzzi also feels cold about 90% of the time when I turn it on. I’ve started switching it on first and then filling the tub with hot water, wondering if the water isn’t draining. I also use room I type 701, which seems to be the most spacious and has an outdoor bath. When I use its jacuzzi, several black stains that look like seaweed show up. I emailed an inquiry about it and didn’t get a reply, so I’m posting here again. In my non-smoking room, I moved the table and found ice cream sticks and several iQOS cigarette butts underneath. That’s a matter of customer morals, but I wish they’d check the cleaning more carefully. I know it’s a popular hotel and cleaning time is limited, but I hope they improve.

I’ve stayed here several times, and the cleaning seems inadequate compared with other hotels. I found hair on the sink and dirt on the table. Small details are hard to avoid, but those are easy to spot, so I wish they’d be a bit more careful. Some rooms also had almost no reception, which made phone calls difficult.

The lobby feels refined, and my room was spotless. The location by Ikebukuro Station is excellent, so on those points I’d rate the hotel a 4 or 5. But one long-haired male receptionist was a major letdown. He was unfriendly every time I visited, didn’t use polite language, and often seemed distracted while helping guests. That attitude really hurts the hotel’s image. I felt he should be replaced with someone more helpful, and honestly thought he deserved to be fired.
