The rooms were clean, spacious, and had what I needed for a short visit. Staff were friendly, and the free entertainment for guests was a fun extra, though you do have to buy one drink per person to take part. Asakusa View Hotel Annex Roku is right by Senso-ji Temple, with shops and restaurants all around, so it’s easy to get everywhere. That also means the area gets crowded and loud. If you’re after a quieter part of Asakusa, this might not suit you.

For a short stay, the hotel looked lovely and was clean throughout, with distinctive decor that gave it a classic Japanese feel. The location worked perfectly, and the staff helped us arrange a taxi big enough for the airport. They even let us check in early after someone outside greeted us and helped with our bags, which was a nice change after our previous two hotels. Our family room had four floor beds, leaving hardly any space to move, and some beds had no nearby charging point. The bath and shower pressure was awful, too. I’d stay again, just not four people in one room.

Breakfast is served buffet-style at the main hotel nearby. There’s a good range of food, though it gets very busy. The neighborhood itself feels safe and quiet, and Asakusa Subway station is only a short walk away. My room was clean and peaceful, with a comfortable bed, good air conditioning, decent Wi-Fi, and water, tea, and coffee. The shower was excellent, and the deep Japanese-style bath was a nice feature. The bathroom also had a separate cubicle with an electronic Japanese toilet and good mirror lighting. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were supplied, and toothbrushes and similar items were available if needed. There wasn’t enough space to dry towels properly, despite the hotel’s request to help the environment. Check-in and checkout were thorough, if a little slow, and the staff were polite and helpful.

Breakfast was delicious, with a big buffet selection and the option to order one of seven dishes from the main menu as well. The room was spacious and excellent. Restaurants are plentiful nearby, and there’s a large supermarket across the street. Senkoji Temple is about a five-minute walk away, while Kappabashi Knife Street takes around ten minutes on foot.

We loved the bathing room. I could soak in the tub while my kids showered safely right beside me. The rooms were small, but the beds were the biggest and most comfortable ones we had during our ten days away. The views weren’t much, though the location more than made up for it: food was everywhere, the temple was five minutes away, Don Quixote was a three-minute walk, and we could easily get a taxi from the main hotel. We only ate at the main restaurant once because it wasn’t our favorite, but its alcoholic drinks were fantastic. Toiletries weren’t in the rooms like at our other hotels, but you could pick them up by the second-floor elevator. A great place overall.
