Best Western Hotel Fino Tokyo Akihabara

There’s barely space to move around in these tiny rooms, let alone open a suitcase. When two people share, one has to keep out of the way while the other moves. Everything worked and seemed well maintained, but the staff weren’t especially helpful or forthcoming with information. They did let us leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout. Breakfast was disappointing, and the crowded serving room felt cramped. This was the worst Best Western I’ve stayed in.

Akihabara is a great base here, with everything close by. The place was clean, the staff were nice, and it had what I needed to get out and explore. I’ll probably book it again next time I’m in Akihabara.

The air conditioning was very loud and aimed right at the bed, so we couldn’t leave it on overnight. Our room also had an odd smell, and there were spots on the sheets and towels. We got fresh towels every second day, though, and the rooms were mostly tidy. The staff were really friendly. I’d still recommend it as a budget stay.

The lift takes ages, and with just one serving 12 floors and the stairs closed except for emergencies, you’re stuck waiting. Aside from that, it was a great hotel. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and I especially liked the free cleansers and moisturisers at reception.
