Of the four places we stayed, this was the best. The reception team were friendly and helpful, and the capsules were spacious. There were plenty of towels in the large showers, and lots of common areas to relax in after a day exploring. The train station was a five-minute walk away, with several convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. I’d definitely stay here again.

The staff were so welcoming and sweet, and everything was always clean and nice. I’d definitely come back! The cafe downstairs was a lovely place to work, have breakfast, or hang out with people. The onsen was especially nice when I got back to relax after being out most of the day. The location worked really well, about an eight-minute walk from the subway. I could get to places like Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Harajuku in 20-40 minutes. If you travel and mainly need somewhere to sleep and unwind, this place is great.

The only downside is that it’s a little far from Tokyo’s main spots, though public transport makes it easy to get around. I stayed in the women’s dorm, which felt quiet and private for a dorm, and everything was clean. I liked the neat design too. After long days of walking, the onsen was a real treat. A very nice, convenient hostel. I’d stay again!

The location in Asakusabashi is quiet and historic, about an eight-minute walk from Asakusabashi Station on the JR and Toei lines. Nearby, I’d recommend Yoshoku Daikichi, a long-running Western restaurant known for its juicy Iwanaka pork tonteki. CAFE/MINIMAL HOTEL OUR OUR is a stylish, budget-friendly option, around $39 with a good breakfast, and it feels like more than a typical capsule hotel. The blue tiles stand out, while the warm interior was beautifully renovated in late 2023. My Personal Room was a cozy pod with an 80cm-wide bed. It’s compact, but bright wall colors and adjustable lighting keep it from feeling cramped. There’s a roller blind for privacy and a locker for valuables. Women-only floors also make it a comfortable option for women traveling alone. The 1F cafe, Pretty Good Coffee & Donut, makes freshly fried donuts for breakfast, and you can exchange breakfast for a ¥1000 cafe voucher. The 5th-floor SPA has a relaxing Hinoki (cypress) bath, a rare treat in a hostel. On the 2nd floor, the lounge has a lively pop atmosphere and craft beers, so it’s a nice spot to socialize.
