We stayed six nights and seven days in a Superior King Room (Annex, Non-Smoking) on the 8th floor of Centurion Hotel Residential Akasaka. The room felt new, modern, and clean, and was spacious by Japan standards. Housekeeping tidied it every day, and it felt like home. The staff were consistently helpful. We had sent our luggage ahead, and the reception team had already put our suitcase in the room by check-in. Two receptionists welcomed us around 7 PM on January 6, though I don't remember their names. Late at night, staff also kindly helped us with the washing machine. The 24-hour laundry machines were clean, well-maintained, and easy to use, which was useful for our long stay. When we were rushing to catch our flight at checkout, the male receptionist who had greeted us on arrival helped find a taxi, spoke to the driver, and loaded our bags into the car. We really appreciated his kindness. The hotel is close to both Akasaka-mitsuke Station and Akasaka Station. The lively neighborhood has lots of restaurants and izakaya, plus three nearby convenience stores open 24 hours, so it felt safe and easy to get food or essentials even late at night. We're a family from Indonesia and highly recommend the hotel. Thanks again for such outstanding service!

The area made it easy to reach restaurants and train lines, but it's busy and gets noisy at night, so it wasn't especially peaceful. The room also had a strange lingering smell that made it harder to relax. The hotel was average at best. Our room looked worn and run down, and seemed poorly maintained. The photos we'd seen beforehand must have been taken quite a while ago. It's not awful, but I wouldn't make a special trip to stay here again. I wish I'd taken photos for this review.

We lost track of our key cards during the stay, and the front desk said replacements would cost 7,000 yen. They're ordinary plastic cards like at any hotel. No one had told us there was such a high replacement fee, or we'd have been more careful. Most hotels don't even ask for cards back or seem to care about them. We booked for two adults and our five-year-old son, choosing a room with space for him. At check-in we confirmed there'd be a bed for him, but the desk told us the room only had one queen bed and all three of us would need to share it for six nights. When we said that wouldn't work, they offered a cot for a large extra charge. We went to look at the room first and found a sofa that converted into a bed. Either the staff didn't know the room or they were trying to charge us extra. We had to ask for bedding and make up the sofa bed ourselves.

I was moved to a much larger, better room than I expected, and Ravi and the other night staff member gave great service. I'm still giving four stars because May at reception was quite rude at checkout and had an unacceptable attitude, even though the other gentleman was very nice.
