The room mismatch was the main snag: I booked through Agoda, but the room I got didn't match, and Agoda still hadn't replied. Having to pay extra on the spot for the room type I reserved wasn't fun. For this hotel, I'd use its official site or another booking service. Still, the stay itself was pleasant and the room was good. The Casual Twin had a fair amount of space, with open shelves that made it easy to see my things. There was a little sofa by the door for putting on shoes or using the hairdryer, plus a universal adapter in a drawer. The lobby has the amenities, though I found it odd that this was the only hotel I'd stayed in that didn't provide shower caps. Reception confirmed they don't offer them. The hotel is close to Ikebukuro Station, and there are elevators behind the one-way escalator. I also liked the self-service luggage room with its number lock.

For my first trip to Japan, I felt comfortable staying here. The room was small, but still nice and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and great. Being near the center of Ikebukuro made it easy to walk around and come back to the hotel. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast buffet on the second floor was simple but really tasty, and there's an ichiran ramen shop and a convenience store just around the corner. The station is very close, only about a 3-5 minute walk, and the location worked really well for us. The rooms on the lower floors are a bit small, but my wife and I fit in ours fine. If you're bringing more than two large suitcases, I'd suggest booking a bigger room. Overall, a very good place to stay and one I'd recommend.

The breakfast is the best. It's a really nice, quiet place for Thai people, with a FamilyMart on the ground floor and lots of local Japanese food and izakaya around. Ikebukuro train station is nearby, so it's easy to get around as a traveler.

One of my better stays in Tokyo so far. The rooms are large and the hotel is near ikebukro station. There's a 24-hour ichiran ramen shop downstairs, along with a family mart.
