Dash Living Higashi Azabu

The room was spacious, with a balcony, kitchen area, and large shower room. We stayed seven nights and really enjoyed it. The metro is close, with easy access to Shinjuku and Shibuya stations. Check-in on the tablet on the ground floor was simple, just be sure to have all your access codes before you arrive. We recommend living with Dash!

The room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. This AirBnb was easy to find and very conveniently located, directly across from a subway station and close to Tokyo Tower. I'd definitely recommend Dash Living. I saw they have locations in different parts of Tokyo.

We left after only 45 minutes because the room was so disappointing. I booked for three adults, me and my two teens, but there was just one medium bed upstairs and a tiny, kid-sized sofa downstairs. The sofa was awful quality too, with springs poking out from under the cover. Sitting on it for even five minutes made your back sore. The upstairs level, where we were supposed to sleep, had no A/C, just a fan, and was very hot. The WiFi didn't work upstairs unless you sat on the stairs. I complained to the apartment owner several times. They said they needed time to think about a refund, then never got back to me. I usually stay in hotels in Japan, but decided to try Airbnb this time. Dash Living had a promising website with nice pictures, and I hoped our stay would be cozy and comfortable. Getting a good night's sleep while traveling matters a lot to me. The apartment was in a good, expensive area, but I regret booking it and don't recommend it to anyone.

The main hassle was getting hot water for the shower. The instructions weren't easy to follow: a Japanese sign said to set the heater to 60 degrees to get comfortable water at 40 degrees, and the heater itself was hard to navigate because everything was in Japanese with no translation. We lost time translating and figuring it out. The water is plain cold if you can't work out the heater. Dash Living sent the House Instructions, or something like that, right away when I contacted them, but by then I hadn't had time to read them. If this is a known, common issue, especially for foreign visitors, it should be made straightforward. Otherwise, it was a great option and good value. It's hard to find somewhere this spacious and well located in Tokyo for a similar price, and the metro was a three-minute walk away. Everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Some time later, I asked for an invoice for company reimbursement, and Fraulein replied and sorted it out faster than promised.
