eeGee STAY Kamata

I had a solo birthday trip here in 2024, my first visit to Tokyo, Japan, and I’d definitely stay again. The staff were so hospitable, and the whole place was very clean. Drinks, coffee, ice cream, snacks, and different noodles 🍜 were provided, along with toiletries 🧴 and slippers. The subway, buses, and airport are close by, and there’s a 7/11 across from the hotel. ❤️👍👍

My unexpected long layover meant I needed somewhere near Haneda Airport, since the airport pods and hotels were fully booked. EeGee exceeded what I expected from a capsule hotel, and the staff were really helpful. I stayed about 10 hours. Hot drinks were available, the ice cream was really good, and towels and toiletries were provided. From Haneda, it’s about a 10-minute train ride on the Keikyu line, then another 10-minute walk from Keikyu Kamata Station. There are lots of restaurants and shops around the area too.

It’s a calm, hygienic hostel, and the accommodations felt more private than at other hostels I’ve used. The shared bathroom was clean and tidy. The center of Tokyo is a bit far, but the rest of the place made up for the travel time. Staff were very friendly, though they know little to no English, so foreign travelers should have Google Translate installed.

The wood interior looked really nice, and the capsule was bigger than at other capsule hotels, with room for my luggage. Each night comes with instant rice and a curry pack. There’s also an unlimited drink bar with different kinds of drinks, plus soft ice cream and a range of syrups. Kamata station is just a one-minute walk away.
