Great spot, very clean and like new. The GPS doesn't work very well in this area, though.

The hostel itself is nice and has what you need. But the name had changed from the one on my booking, and I went back and forth several times trying to find it. A quick heads-up would have helped. The woman at the counter seemed totally unmotivated and wasn't friendly at all. I wondered if she was mocking me for being Japanese and staying somewhere cheap. There was a monster in the bedroom too, though I guess that's just how it is.

The vibe here is good, and the dorm was really clean with solid security. Japanese guests should have no trouble staying here. I'd choose it and try the good food nearby over an old, poorly built hotel with that Showa-era feel.

Being close to Senso-ji Temple and inexpensive are real pluses. The floors are split by gender, so it felt safe, though you do need to be okay with shared showers and washrooms and some noise from around the property.

The staff at the counter were really rude.
