Family Inn Saiko

Family Inn Saiko is easily the best of the many hotels I've tried in Japan, where I visit family at least twice a year, sometimes more. It's family owned, and they treat you like family too. The staff know their stuff, are helpful with whatever you need, and speak very good English. The inn is in a quiet town, just one train stop from the big cities. Whether you're travelling solo or with a large group, I think you'll fall in love with this place. I won't stay anywhere else, because nothing comes close to Family Inn Saiko!

It's a lovely place to stay, with a personal welcome and clean, nice rooms. Breakfast is basic, just tea, coffee, toast, and spreads. The quiet neighborhood is family friendly and has several lovely parks nearby. If you're after hard partying in Tokyo, the location may not suit you, but it's an easy walk from Ikebukuro, so I'd recommend it for families.

Family Inn saiko sits in a quiet neighborhood of two-story houses and narrow streets, an ideal spot to spend time in Tokyo. It's easy to reach by JR line, and the station is just a few minutes' walk away. The staff are friendly and ready to help with what guests need. Definitely try the origami lesson, the Japanese bath, and trying on a kimono with the grandmother. Highly recommended. Thanks to the managers.

After a long day exploring Tokyo, coming back here felt like coming home. The people are wonderful, speak quite a bit of English, and are friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you plan your day. The facilities are spotless, and the rooms mix modern and traditional touches, with a modern toilet and shower alongside tatami and futons. Toast and coffee are free in the morning. We stayed with two other people, and all of us loved the place. It's within walking distance of Shiinamachi station, just one stop from busy Ikebukuro. I'll definitely stay here again when I return to Tokyo.
