Flexstay Inn Sugamo

The neighborhood is quiet and small, and everything’s within about a five-minute walk. The location and the staff were both great, especially for the price. My only small wish is for a smart TV. There is a TV, but it only has satellite, which is okay. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back.

I really liked the location and found it a great place to relax. I checked out around 8:00am on Nov 30 and left my Apple AirPods behind in room 209. They’re in a black leather case. Could you let me know if you found them?

Sugamo has been my favorite place to stay in Tokyo so far, and this was my seventh visit. It’s laid back, full of bargains, and the nearby railway, subway, and tram stops make getting around really easy. There’s a LUUP e-bike station right across from the hotel and a 24-hour AEON supermarket around the corner. My single room was small, as you’d expect in a Japanese budget hotel, but it had a fridge, microwave, cooktop, shower, and toilet. Everything was clean, though a little aged. One tip: I thought the fridge was noisy until the third day, when I realized I’d accidentally turned on the exhaust fan above it when I arrived 🫣

My room worked well for one person, and the WiFi was really fast. The staff were super friendly, too. The hotel is close to both the Yamanote & Mita lines, so it’s easy to reach Tokyo’s main areas. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.
