There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, the location is easy to find, and it’s just a 1-2 minute walk from the station. Self-service check-in and checkout were straightforward, and the toilet was clean and had a bidet. The rate stays the same for up to seven people, which makes it cheap for a group. Contact is handled through a vacation rental agency, so you can send questions at any time. I have a house dust allergy and didn’t react, so it seems to be cleaned well. The listing says it sleeps up to seven, but there are three double futons and a sofa bed, so that assumes three couples share beds. The bathroom fixtures are old, and it smelled strongly of sewage. The futons are thin. There’s no air conditioning in the kitchen, and the two bedrooms share one air conditioner, so we had to sleep with the sliding doors open. I booked through Trip and didn’t get the check-in instructions until the day before. When I asked about them, I got the door-unlocking instructions by email, but they were all in English. I slept soundly and didn’t have the painful mattress problem mentioned on other review sites. The forecast was a high of 13°C and a low of 3°C. Even with the heat on full, the thin blanket made it a bit cold. The sewage smell may be tough if you’ve never lived in an old house. Amenities: hair dryer; shampoo, conditioner, and body soap; seven small bath towels; washing machine with detergent; refrigerator; microwave; electric kettle; mugs, glasses, and plates; dishes and cutlery; electric stove and pots; hangers; iron; lint roller; dish soap and sponge. No toothbrushes or facial cleanser.
