Grids Tokyo Ueno Hotel&hostel

I came from Thailand and stayed here for two weeks. It was a good hotel for my first time in Japan. The staff were very nice, and the place was clean and quiet. Family Mart is two minutes away and Lawsan is three minutes away. Ueno train station is three minutes away, and I could walk to Ueno Park in five. I slept happily every night, even in a dorm, and there was free drinking water all day. I liked the shower gel too, it smelled good. I'm planning another Japan trip around February next year and would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed at Grids Ueno twice and would happily come back on my next trip. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the basic setup works well. Its Ueno location is handy for getting around while staying a bit away from the crowds. The bunks are comfortable for what they are, and having four people to a room gives you more privacy and less noise than a larger dorm.

A lovely spot for my first Tokyo visit, near the train station and Ueno Park. I was there during cherry blossom season, which was gorgeous. The place was clean, service was great, and the staff were very nice. They also had toiletries, hair products, and a hair dryer.

My sheets weren't clean when I arrived, as you can see in the picture. Aside from that, I was really happy with the place. The curtained cabins were very private and kept all the light out, and the bathrooms were clean. They provided free water, sanitary items, and soap in the showers. There's a station nearby with lines that can get you all over Tokyo. I'd definitely recommend it and come back.
