The room had more space than we expected, and the lobby had a handy little area with basic toiletries, phone chargers, and a microwave. It’s a 10-story building with one room on each floor. We stayed five nights and found a couple of train stations about a five-minute walk away. There weren’t many food choices right around the hotel, but we could get elsewhere easily from the stations. There was also a Lawson next door. Our main reason for choosing Hotel Vintage Tokyo Tsukiji was location: we wanted somewhere clean and modern in a safe area, near Tokyo Station for our Shinkansen trips, other train stations, and convenience stores. It ticked those boxes. Communication was good, too. Our flight was delayed and we arrived late, with no one at the front desk, but we reached someone quickly on the intercom. He explained where the Keycafe lockbox was around the corner and opened it remotely so I could get our room card keys. I’d missed an earlier email with those details. As I recall, the cleaning staff changed the sheets every three days. We could leave used towels in a basket outside the room each morning and get fresh ones. I’m glad we found this hotel and would stay again next time I’m in Tokyo.

Lawson is right next door, and a laundromat is about a six-minute walk away. Ginza and Tsukiji market were also within a manageable walk, though the train station was a bit farther. The room was clean and, despite the square meters, fit five adults comfortably. We got fresh towels each day, the bathroom was a decent size, and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The toilet was great, it opened and closed automatically. All in all, a lovely stay.

I had more room than I expected, and the hotel was warm all the time. It wasn’t too far from Tokyo Station, and taking a taxi back didn’t cost too much. The main downside was that there weren’t many restaurants in the area. I stayed recently and thought it was a great hotel.

We were a family of four and the room worked fine for us. It was clean and quiet, with convenience stores nearby, and the staff were friendly. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the hotel is close to transit. One snag was a misunderstanding about same-day luggage forwarding nearby. I don’t think same-day service is really available in most of Tokyo now, and you need two days for forwarded bags. We had to adjust our plans because of that. The staff did let us leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout until we came back to head to our next hotel. Highly recommend the place.

The room lighting is all spotlights and downlights, which wasn’t convenient when I needed to work on my laptop. The mattress was uncomfortable for me too. I know mattress preferences are personal, but this one didn’t feel soft enough to sink into or firm enough to support me, and it felt bad. I also wouldn’t choose this as a stopover before a flight the next day. If you’re heading to Narita Airport, it’s around a 20-minute walk to Tokyo Station. For easy breakfast nearby, the options are basically Lawson and Aeon. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
