HOTEL GRASSINO URBAN RESORT TACHIKAWA - Adult Only

I keep coming back and have stayed here for the last three or four years. The rooms are clean and roomy, the service is excellent, and I'm very happy with the place. The kitchen rooms and Japanese-style rooms with open-air baths feel more like upscale apartments than hotel rooms, which makes staying here especially enjoyable. Prices have gone up, so the drink glasses are smaller and breakfast has become simpler, but I'm still glad members get it for free.

I came back after my first visit because the interior was even nicer than I'd expected and the price was reasonable. It's nearby, and the website had already caught my eye with how good the place looked. It seems possible to stay multiple nights, so I may try that next time.

The atmosphere and facilities are comfortable, but the front desk staff's attitude was awful. The male staff get mentioned in reviews, but the women were rude too, and it felt like they had no respect for their work. I'd consider coming back if the reception staff changed. For now, though, I won't be using the place.

Weekday visits are a good deal here, especially if you get a five-hour stay for ¥6,900, depending on the room. One draft beer per person comes with it, and soft drinks are free as well. Food is about as good as, or better than, what you'd get at a family restaurant, and it's tastier and cheaper than some of them. The bathtubs are also bigger than those in some mediocre business hotels. The hotel is right beside the south side of Ogawa Bridge, about 1.5 km south of Higashiyamato Station toward Tachikawa. Payment has to be made in advance at the front desk on the second floor. If you expect to visit often, getting a membership card works out even better.
