Kizankan Hotel

We'd book this place again, even though it feels like a three-star hotel rather than a five-star one. Our four-bed family room was roomy and very clean, and the staff were great. The quiet location exceeded our expectations, with Hongo-Sanchome Station nearby. Exit 3 gives you the easiest walk to the hotel. Don't expect luxury, but it's comfortable and clean.

The room was comfortable and quiet, though it felt a little old. The location is great, close to the MRT and Tokyo Dome. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Pretty good for the price, and you can tell it was once a nice hotel during the Showa era, though it feels a bit dated now. The AC had just three settings and no temperature control, so the room stayed fairly warm even on “High.” I booked through Expedia, but the hotel initially asked me to pay again at check-in. They caught the mistake and refunded the money. The location was okay.

The location is one of the better ones I've found among the hotels I've tried in this area, and the service is generally decent, depending on who helps you. The room, though, needs work. There's mold in the bathroom, heavy dust in the ventilation, and the carpet is much dirtier than it should be. I've seen carpet of a similar age in better shape. I really question some of the ratings here. I've stayed in places that should have been far worse, yet their rooms were in much better condition.
