Hotel LiveMax Akasaka Grande

The neighborhood seemed quiet, and the room and bed were on the small side. Still, the room was clean and had everything necessary, so it's a nice place to stay for a few days in Tokyo. The next 7/11 is across the street, and there's a family mart close by. Akasaka station is a 5-minute walk and connects to most important lines. I can definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.

The location is good, but for what it costs, the hotel only just does the basics. They advertise a sauna, though it’s only available to men, with no hours for women. That feels odd these days.

Clean, straightforward rooms and kind service, and it does the job. There’s nowhere to have breakfast, but otherwise things were fine.

The location worked really well for getting to attractions and restaurants, and for a budget trip to Tokyo I thought the price was good. Just don’t expect a four-star hotel, despite its Google listing. I’d read complaints about dirt and tiny rooms, so I was braced for problems, but the place was better than its ratings suggested. The room was in good shape, and the staff were helpful. Mine was ready early, so they let me check in ahead of time. The semidouble bed was a little small, though it fit two people.
