Please be cautious about booking here. A platform interface issue while I was arranging a November booking accidentally set my dates in June. I contacted the hotel as soon as the confirmation email came through, trying to correct the mistake in good faith. Agoda acknowledged that a glitch could have caused the sudden month change while navigating, but the hotel management wouldn’t help with a fair date amendment or partial refund. They said they’d return the money only if I agreed to a mandatory, non-refundable booking for my actual November dates. I wasn’t ready to commit to fixed dates while figuring out my itinerary, though I would have been happy to book with them later once our plans were final. Instead I’ve chosen different accommodation. I can’t in principle stay somewhere that would hold my $171 NZD to force future revenue instead of offering a genuine refund. They may have collected a one-night cancellation fee this time, but they’ve lost any chance of my future business. I’d been genuinely excited to stay here, so this is disappointing. It feels like short-term revenue mattered more than basic hospitality, and the situation showed me what this brand values. I’d rather spend my money somewhere that values customers alongside its corporate policies.
